Stranger than fiction

Who said Ripon is dull and boring. Well not today anyway.
We parked in Booth's car park and I noticed a car with its engine running and headlights on but nobody around. I even looked into the car in case someone was ill inside. Nothing.
Assuming the driver was nearby but I just couldn't see him or her (I was sure it was a her because of the sunglasses on the dash) we walked into town.
We returned 40 minutes later to find the same car with its engine still running. We popped into Booths and reported it to the duty manager who retrieved the keys and spoke to the police.
After we had finished shopping we returned to our car and Jan spoke to a traffic warden who was about to issue a ticket.
Lo and behold the woman whose car it was and who had left the car for about an hour and a half returned to her car and was advised of what a prat she had been.
You couldn't really make it up.

Filthy dreams

You'd have thought that at our age we would no longer have filthy dreams. A rather shamefaced Jan admitted to me this morning that Jeremy Corbyn made a brief appearance in one of her dreams last night.

How disgusting is that!

Multi names

I'm not sure why or how but have you ever noticed how many triple barrelled names people now use. Names like John Smith Brown. Not a hyphenated surname but an additional family name stuck in either the middle or the end.
And to prove my point I noticed this:
