The more I see them the more I think 'why?'
I can just about appreciate a small tear in a jean to make it look worn, no matter how artificial but the other day I saw a young woman wearing a pair of jeans with tears right down the whole of the front. It looked so ludicrous I couldn't help but ask her why she hadn't just bought a pair of shorts.
Thank goodness she saw the funny side.
Completely agree Alex... what a ridiculous "style" fad. While Clive and I were in London in July for the cricket at Lords, I was wearing a pair of wranglers on the tube and Clive "helpfully" pointed out that there was a hole next to the rear pocket showing my red underwear. The jeans went into the bin the next day. But what a style icon I was for that day. I should have sold the jeans, not disposed of them!

ReplyDeleteWe both do... but can't watch England much when they play poorly. Thankfully we saw them play well on day 3 against South Africa. We had Captains lounge hospitality tickets for the day - a special treat for my "milestone" birthday. And no, I didn't wear jeans to Lords. Heaven forbid!
