Strange
Have you ever noticed that when people demonstrate in foreign lands they quite often show posters in English. Looking at the poster above you would have to say that Catalonia might not be Spain but it sure as hell isn't England or any other English speaking nation either.
I've noticed that too Alex - strange indeed! Is Jan's son still out there?
ReplyDeleteYes he is. One of them wants independence and the other not. A bit like here where one of us wanted Brexit and the other not. I'll leave you to guess which was which.
DeleteI'm not going to guess which one wanted Brexit! We were the same. One of us voted for and one against. I won't say which was which - OK I will, I voted to stay in. Not that I love the EU, I don't, but I rather like the idea of being able to live anywhere in Europe, even if I don't actually do it. Having said that, if you really want to, it's not hard to do. Otherwise Americans and Austrailians wouldn't be living in France and Spain. Portugal have rather a nice "non habitual resident" programme which has great tax advantages and once we are out, you can qualify for their "golden visa" if you buy at E500K+.
