So we're in Keelham Farm Shop (highly recommended) and Jan wants a rib of beef. I asked the butcher how long the beef is hung because I like it at around 30 days.
"Sir," he said, "the shop tag line is, all our beef is well hung, just like our butchers."
We couldn't say anything for laughing.
Brilliant! I'm guessing that he's used that line a fair few times.

DeleteIn Ambleside for a few days and I'm sad enough to admit that part of tomorrow will be spent shopping at Booths. I really need to get a life.
