I have a very old car a 1997 VW Golf to be precise. As well as an 'old banger' (sorry Jan), I know a really good mechanic who has just spent the last two weeks sorting out two relatively minor reoccurring but irritating problems. On top of that he doesn't charge a fortune. How lucky is that?
An honest and good mechanic is worth their weight in gold. We have one in our village too. A 97 Golf is a bit of a classic isn't it? do you still have the LHD Jeep too?
ReplyDeleteHi Craig, the Golf is the only car I have ever owned that a few people have come up to me and asked if I want to sell it and yes we do still have the Jeep. A 21 years old Golf and an 16 years old Jeep. I keep wondering whether I'll ever need to buy another car. I can't have many years of motoring left!
