Part 2

And to top it all off today our lovely young neighbour stopped me in the street to offer any help we might need. So now I'm officially an older person who might be in need. Bugger!
As we're stuck indoors maybe this is the answer?

  1. You're not alone. I wrote a note to our 80 something very fit neighbour over the road who recently lost her husband, saying that we knew that she was fit, well and independent, but if she became poorly we'd be happy to assist with shopping or dog walking etc. Not a peep out of her so I think that I've insulted her or pissed her off!

    1. That's a bit strange but still very kind of you.

    2. Her daughter is up from the Lake District for a couple of days and thanked us yesterday while we were in the front garden. Her Mum is fiercely indpendent, which we knew. Good luck with your Mum... she's done so well to get to that age!

    3. I explained to my mother the consequences of her getting the virus and her only comment was that under no circumstances did she want to go to hospital.
