Hard as Nails
So far my 95 years old mother seems to be taking all the self isolation business in her stride. I expected her to be moaning and groaning at the deprivation. Having said that, as a young woman, during the war she was used to being strafed by English planes whilst walking down a road to get food.
Talking of the war, we have a Bank Holiday tomorrow. Just what we need, another day off with nothing to do.
Good on her. Our elders could teach us a thing or two about hardship and deprivation. I'm hoping that there may be some loosening soon...garden centres seem like an obvious choice as it's mostly outdoors. I feel a bit weird that I rather look forward to the excitement of a visit to Morrissons or M&S foodhall!
ReplyDeleteI agree. My first stop will be to a garden centre to get some plants to cheer up the garden.
