Amazon

We have an old Jeep (Grand Cherokee seeing as you're asking - don't you just love that name) which we bought in France in 2002. Having just driven down to Petersfield over the weekend I realised that we needed a new rear wiper. Our nearest Jeep dealer is in York and as we had to take it in for a bit of work I asked them to fix a new one on. Sorry sir they said, it's way too old for us to supply this part. Cue trying to sell us a new car. Anyway, I got home and checked on Amazon and found a choice of four sellers.
There is lots of justifiable negative comment about Amazon but you have to say that when you need something a little out of the ordinary they do come up trumps.

  1. I make no apologies for being an Amazon fan. I buy quite a lot from them and in the rare event that I wasn't happy with something I've received almost instant refunds. If only all retailers were as customer focused. Regarding the GC, I can't imagine that the local Jeep franchise wouldn't have access to parts for a 2002 car! It's hardly a crank start...

    1. Hi Craig I think the problem with parts started when Crysler Jeep went belly up in early 2000s. Fiat eventually took them over but I suspect it created some problems with parts going forward.
