It makes me really angry when I see large containers of voting slips poured onto a counting table. Handling the simple process of counting votes should be handled by computer.
Every voter should be issued with a 'voting card' and make their choice that way. There must be some self interest in play here to make the event so labour intensive and cumbersome.
Someone needs to get a grip.
Couldn't agree more - it's all very old school. Didn't the US start something like that after Bush-Gore 2000 problems? Thanks for the info on the hearing aids. I didn't get picked for jury duty (yippee) although it sounded like a juicy case. As I wasn't picked, I didn't need to act in an offensive way (no more offensive than normal anyway)!
